The cloth

Three cloths carry this season. We buy them by the piece from three mills, and we will tell you which one and what it costs us to get.

Weights are the finished weight after washing, not the greige weight the mill quotes. They are different numbers and the second one flatters everybody.

Rolls of undyed cloth stacked on a shelf in the workroom.

Before it is cut

Cloth is relaxed flat for a day, or the garment moves later.
